Computer Science Fundamentals Courses

​Course 2
​Start with Course 2 for students who can read and have no prior programming experience. In this course students will create programs to solve problems and develop interactive games or stories they can share.
​Course 3
Course 3 is designed for students who have taken Course 2. Students will delve deeper into programming topics introduced in previous courses to create flexible solutions to more complex problems. By the end of this course, students create interactive stories and games they can share with anyone.
Course 4
Course 4 is designed for students who have taken Courses 2 and 3. Students will learn how to tackle puzzles with increased complexity as they learn how to combine several concepts when solving each challenge. By the time this Course is completed, students will be creating programs that let them showcase multiple skills, including for loops and functions with parameters.
Accelerated Intro to CS Course
​This 20-hour course covers the core computer science and programming concepts in courses 2-4. The course is designed for use with ages 10-18. Check out courses 2-4 for a more complete experience!
​Course C
Create programs with sequencing, loops, and events. Translate your initials into binary, investigate different problem-solving techniques, and learn how to respond to cyberbullying. At the end of the course, create your very own game or story you can share!
​Course D
​Students develop their understanding of nested loops, while loops, conditionals, and events. Beyond coding, students learn about digital citizenship.
Course E
​Start coding with algorithms, loops, conditionals, and events and then you’ll move on functions. In the second part of this course, design and create a capstone project you can share with your friends and family.
​Course F
​Learn to use different kinds of loops, events, functions, and conditionals. Investigate different problem-solving techniques and discuss societal impacts of computing and the internet. In the second part of this course, design and create a capstone project you can share with friends and family.
​Express Course
Learn the basics of computer science and internet safety. At the end of the course, create your very own game or story you can share.
